Chiffon Cake and Baumkuchen

>>  20.5.10

Back to basic! Here are few things that I got to finish over the last few days.
I know yellow, chocolate, and green are the usual colour for chiffon cakes (vanilla/chocolate/green tea), but I don't know why I got the urge to make a pink one! XD Maybe I can pretend that they are sakura flavour! Yum!

And I also made some baumkuchen. Been thinking to make it for a long time ago, but always kept back to think of how to make it. The best answer is usually just to make it and don't think too much! (A thing that always been a hindrance for a perfectionist, well at least for me XD)

The first batch looks good when it's cut. But something was off when it's a whole. I keep thinking that the layers are not enough. So I made another one, with more layers, thinner layers. But it means longer time to dry. And I just have to be patient.

Mom came with her friends last weekend. I was very tired of being their tour-guide. Snowfern teased me of being of a 'sheep-herder' XD which I think is what I was. I wonder why the word "shopping" can make them lost in a second!

We went to Universal Studios Singapore to at the Sentosa. Kind of disappointed, because most of the attractions are so few and most are suitable for small children. LUCKILY I got to convinced my mom not to buy the express ticket. Because it won't be a use at all with it being $60 per person and not much attraction for them!

hi asuka:) !
thanks so for helping me with the clay question. i will try to find this kind of clay in the usa.
so you must use paints for the clay for realistic color.
thanks alison:)
